G.Borondo ∞ (street-art)

Art and culture are created, the opposite direction of destruction.

Because art and culture have the potential to change individuals, transform entire communities. Make an artistic work for people is also to improve their quality of life. Generally we tend to think that this work we should be facilitated by public institutions by creating new spaces, cultural centers and schools. Probably an indisputable truth, but it is also true that the public media tend to lag behind the cultural movement that generate people.

A group of artists usually without resources and in some cases with origins in dysfunctional families began the reconquest of the common areas in the cities to bring up the urban art or "street art", a movement organized today worldwide that originally was criticized and persecuted by the institutions in tow of the vanguards.

Last June was presented in Paris and Buenos Aires indicative looking on the web to preserve street art whose expressions are often lost forever once “Whitening” the walls where they were reflected. Next to 5.000 works of street art landed in internet hand Street Art Project, an example of urban art online created by Google.

In creativetoday.with I could not miss a space for street artists, because in my opinion it is the most primitive form of art, purest, and the first demonstration for all ages free.

An art that is still persecuted and often illegal in some parts of the world but fortunately are becoming more such events and their authors begin to enjoy a great reputation in the circles of ephemeral art.

The work presented in this post is for the Spanish artist Gonzalo Borondo, born in Segovia, Spain, in 1989. For him, art is a kind of struggle. Is your drug of choice and sometimes their disease. His teacher and mentor told him to be an artist one must first be a person, and then maybe an artist.

In 2003 moved to Madrid where he strengthens your relationship with graffiti. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid and Rome, but never finished his studies. With 18 years participating in her first art festival in Istanbul and has since made solo exhibitions in cities like Rome, Madrid, Paris and London.

According to him, the true inspiration was in the street, not in the classroom. Some feel that the walls are who you choose to it, and not the reverse. An artist should never be afraid to experiment. This is the only way to grow,Adds-

In his work prefer to be more poetic than polemical or political, and sometimes questioned the reason why put poetry in the walls of a sick society.

"In most of my work I try to reflect our nature exponentially. I use body language to show as universal themes of the human condition "

buena retokada volturno

I particularly like the vast majority of works Borondo, but that may have caught my attention more than any other work entitled Narcissus (I) held in London this year. The reason for this preference is that his work gets a pass on the static wall into something alive. You can see it here:

And, to finish transcribe one possessed of Charles Bukowski that while it is aimed at writers, understand that expresses with absolute simplicity which is an artist in general and in particular, street artist:

If you get no burning from within,
do not do.
The in being spontaneously come out of tu heart
and your mind and your mouth
and your gut,
do not do.
If you have to sit for hours
staring at the computer screen
to clavado en tu typewriter
for words,
do not do.
If you do it for money or fame,
do not do.
If you do it because you want women in your bed,
do not do.
If you have to sit
and rewrite it again and again,
do not do.
If you get tired just thinking about doing,
do not do.
If you're trying to write
as any, olvídalo.

If you have to wait until you come out roaring,
Waiting patiently.
If you miss never roaring, do something else.

If you first have to read it to your wife
Oh, and here and news of the news
or your parents or anyone,
you are not prepared.

No seas like so many writers,
do not be like so many thousands of
people who call themselves writers,
do not be dull and boring and pretentious,
you consume the en tu pride.
The world's libraries
bostezan knew until
with these people.
Do not be one of them.
Do not do.
The be to go in de tu alma
like a rocket,
to be in that stick quiet
I could drive you to madness,
suicide or murder,
do not do.
Unless the sun inside you
is burning your gut, do not do.
When it is truly time,
and if you have been chosen,
happen by itself and
It will continue to happen until you die
or until it dies in you.
There is no other way.
And it never was.
